I’m trying to write my coursework today and everywhere you look online, its valentines day this valentines day that, EVERYWHERE! its really rather irritating.

It’s like our “desecrated old witch” of an english teacher says (the one who’s a failed author), “whats the point?”, RANDOM ACT OS KINDNESS is the way.. apparently. But, to be fair she’s the one that shouts “BARNACLES!!” everytime she needs a sandwich…but just because she has low blood sugar it doesn’t mean her opinion doesnt count…does it?:S

she’s also divorced and doesnt buy brithday presents for her daughter, but thats another story.

But i do think she has the right idea…She beleives christmas teaches one the cost of eveything and the value of nothing… which is very true

 People don’t like to come to English. It can be dull, they make you write shit and those books are easy to lose. And there’s no penalty for not going. Not really.

 So why go?

Beacuse the teachers are fucking hialrious! Old, desicated witches who have seen everything, done everything and have more brains than any of their classes put togeather. They’re stuck in some school teaching the same shit year after year, to dullards.  Ones a failed author, the others just a nut.

They like to have some company. They like the sound of their own voices, but it’s much nicer to talk to people, even 6formers, than an empty room. And they’re pretty good company themselves, what will all their pre-Thatcher knowledge and junk.

So why not go? Beacuse you’re too cool for school and think you’re future, like everything else will be taken care of by someone else. Nein, comrade! If you want to get out of surburan, lowermiddle class purgorty you need to make some effort. The only other way is down. It’s not a joke.

 You will end up stacking shelves.

 Grand then. Do a few little essays and read a few little books. Show intrest in your teachers. All that jazz. It might not be cool but my income will be. Plus, it means at least another three years before I have to enter the REAL WORLD.

That said, I’m not going to History today for shit. It’s a waste of time.

I can understand whole heartedly wanting to be rich. It’s make life easier and I could buy a lot of books, see the world and offset the carbon. It’d be pretty awesome. But I can’t understand wanting to be famous. Being a respected author/politician /psychologist would be pretty nice, but I wanted want to be famous for being racist in a house full of idiots or showing my minge to the camera.

Anyway, that’s beside the point. Let’s work this out logically. Why does she want to be famous? Because he wants people to like him. That must mean he’s insecure. Check. None of these new saint/deity things seem to be overly happy though. Look at Briters or that wife of the that guy.

Also, the dear old tube makes it seem like an awesome game. Money, sex, love, attention. Awesome. It’s very much a new kind of religion and she’s a good little devote. It all makes sense from a economic point of view. Celebrity sells a lot of things from books and DVDs to clothes and hair care products. She does buy a lot of the latter two!

And she watches a lot of TV. So that’s the method. Plus, our dear friends quite wealthy. We have motive, stimulus, ability and…and what? That’s the bit I don’t get. Lots of people are dissatisfied with their lives. Aspiring to being some Braglina, Britney or what have you type creature makes sense. So why do only certain people get like that? Low intelligence? Hope not. Parental neglect? Doubt it (Doesn’t that make people violent criminals or something (or nothing)) .

Wanting to achieve is nothing negative, but is the only type of achievement the one that gets you on the front of a glossy mag? Only one other girl in my year wants to be a writer (Me too of course, darling) and she doesn’t seem to write. Can’t think of a single doctor wannabe.

What I want to know though is just why? Why does it seem appealing to be up their on the stage? I’m not trying to be holier than thou (I anit) and I know I’m pretentious. I’d just like to know why all this energy and money can’t be spent on something else. It doesn’t have to be saving the world or any subdivisions of it. Just maybe a book that makes you think, a plane ticket to somewhere fun or maybe even a cup of tea. If none of that appeals maybe one could save for ones later years?

Nothing really gets me like people not thinking. Thinks can and do suck sometimes, but it’s better if you think about it. More satisfying for most of my nearest and dearest anyway.

we couldn’t care a less about guys, mobiles or myspace. We try not to care about clothes, make-up, money and all that jazz. But that’s hard, so give us a break, dahrl.

There’s only so many ways to amuse yourself when everyone around you has straighted their hair so much they’ve pulled out their brains. We try to read, learn about the world around us and all that high minded stuff.

Honestly? We most drink tea and smoke in the local. But that’s beacuse hangovers are vile and it’s no fun waking up the next morning with the taste of a boy who looks like an owl in your mouth. We assume.

So, we hope not to bore you. We’ll post about all kinds of things in our intresting little online journal thing.
